Detroit Car show

So, if we lived in Paris, we would go see art and architecture, but since we live near Detroit, we get to see cars! It was as cool as a broadway show in New York or The Grand Canyon.. just different...
We loved the concept cars and tried out all the 7 seaters as we plan for a few years down the road when we get to buy a nice practical used car with plenty of room for car seats. Believe it or not, our two favorites were the Kia Borrego and the Buick Enclave. (pictures in that order)

Not a dream car, but a great family car and it comes in my favorite car color.. russet (although I don't think they call it that).

The best part about it was that Paul got to feel smart teaching me all about cars, like which car company bought out who, when and who owns what now and where they're all from. I also learned all about engine sizes and how to compare horse power and understand their names.
Here were some of our favorite concept cars...

Wow, im depressed and annoyed that the Detroit show was so good. Me and Kris went to the one here in Utah, and although glorious, its splendor paled in comparison. I really wanted to see the new GTR. Darn.

We were thinking of going to this! Maybe next year we can all go together!

AWESOME!!! We discovered after the fact that we could have gone for free! I am so mad that we didn't cash in on that. I will definitely try to take our family next year. So cool. We can't live in Detroit and miss this!

Wow, that's awesome! What a great trip! I like your pics, and especially your color. We'll always be black car people, at least until we can afford for me to have my own car baby.

Oh and Thanksgiving- yes, I took a few ideas from your settings last year- the branches in the vase, using real leaves and things from around our yard instead of buying a bunch of stuff... that's all you baby.

Those are awesome cars! I can totally see Paul having a car like the one he was sitting in!
Surprisingly I really like the KIA too.
