We gave Eirik his first haircut this week. I still can't bear to cut the top which is 5" long, believe it or not. We just cut off his wings. They were out of control. Yet, even the crazy wings will be missed.

This post is totally out of order, but I finally made a page about our K-Ville Farmer's Market because I loved it this year. We were part of this Vegie Co-op where we got a big bin of vegies every week and had to come up with creative ways to use them up. We got crazy things like tons of arugula and so many turnips I thought I was sprouting them. It was a bit of a love hate thing, but for the most part we had a blast. I don't think Paul will eat another dish that has sweet potato or squash for a couple of years.... enough said. :)

It's December 14th and I am getting so excited to go home to see all of our family members and friends this Christmas! In fact, I am so antsy I can barely think of anything else. It's so hard to be so far away from so many of you.
This year has been fun in so many ways. We have made so many great friends this year in K-ville. We LOVE the people here. We have grown accustomed to the small town life in a lot of ways. You really learn to love the small businesses and their owners in a town this small. You learn to appreciate that you can cash a check without a driver's lisence because you were at a party with the teller the night before. You learn where to find the things that you need and how to improvise if you can't. We can walk right down our own street to the town square, and in a place like this if you have talents or skills, they are really appreciated, even if you're not the best. Friends have become family here, and we've loved that.
It's hard to think that in just a few months we will be packing up and moving again. I'm so proud of Paul. He has worked so hard in Med School this past year and a half. He is near the top of his class and is so excited to start rotations next fall. We submitted our match requests last week. There are limited locations available so KCOM randomly matches all of the students to locations. We didn't get our top choices, so we are still not sure where we are going to move since we have a chance to appeal, but most likely we will either move to Michigan or Ohio next June. It's exciting and amazing how fast time flies.
We MISS all of our friends and family who we are away from!

I have been painting thes e kids name paintings lately for orders that I got at the Red Barn festival. They are a lot of fun. I would love to get more orders!

In November my parents, (David and Janine) came to visit. We had a great time and were so thankful that they took time out of their work schedueles to spend a week with us. We drove to Far West Missouri and saw Adam-ondi-ahman and read about the history and prophesies about these places. It was awesome! What an amazing experience! We also went to Nauvoo and learned about the people in our geneology that lived in Nauvoo and read about which pioneer companies they were in as they traveled west to Utah. I have really enjoyed learning about our history.
